We are committed to providing outstanding quality products, and on-time delivery.Under direct supervision, an entry levelDeburr Hand / Machinistwill load and unload machines and be responsible for in process inspection of machined product, which requires basic competencies in shop math, hand measuring tools and documentation, as well as basic print reading. Entry level machinists are responsible for some deburr operations as well as basic preventative machine maintenance and area cleanliness.Deburr Hand / Machinist Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Buffing, polishing, sanding and scraping of metal parts to remove and sharp corners and achieving the finish requirements.

Ability to work independently, follow, standard shop procedures, written machine outlines, operation sketch sheets, machine programs, understand simple blue prints, as well as oral instructions.

Studies specifications and diagrams mentioned above, to acquire information requisite to the setting up and or operation of machine work centers.

Cleaning machines every morning, removing metal chips, wiping down machines and cleaning the area after machinery maintenance is finished.

The deburr person is responsible for keeping their work area clean and free of old or un-identified parts, tooling, inspection pins, gages or paper work.

The deburr hand will also keep their work area clean and organized at all times, free of trash or accumulated oil, and chips.

The deburr hand will maintain daily totals of parts produced and scrapped on the sketch sheet for each operation. The deburr hand will use the bar code collection system to report jobs worked on, parts produced and status of each operation. The deburr hand will also turn a daily time sheet in with the same information.

Required Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, machine routings and procedure manuals.

The ability to read and write English. Ability to communicate effectively with the active supervisor.

Basic math with ability to add and subtract numbers.

A basic knowledge of hand tools, measuring tools and their proper use.

The ability to interact with computers and CNC controls at a basic level.

Manual dexterity and attention to detail. Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is frequently required to talk or hear.

The employee must occasionally lift up to 75 pounds and/or move, roll up to 160 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Experience and Education:

High School diploma or equivalent required

One-year certificate from a college or technical trade school a plus.

Experience in manufacturing preferred.

0-2 years of machinist experience
