Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Accountant in Brisbane, California. This role involves thorough auditing and verification of customer invoices and delivery notes, primarily for our supermarket and restaurant clients. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with business central and other accounting software systems to rectify any discrepancies and ensure accurate billing.Responsibilities: Audit all customer shipments and invoices for any discrepancies. Work with the new Business Central software to manage the auditing process. Identify and rectify any errors in the invoicing process promptly. Collaborate with the team to complete the auditing process within a specified timeframe. Use accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, and Great Plains (GPAC) for various accounting functions. Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks as necessary. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in the budget processes. Address customer inquiries related to billing and invoicing. Collaborate with the team to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the auditing process. Handle additional accounting tasks and responsibilities as needed. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) Ability to perform Accounting Functions Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Auditing skills Understanding of Budget Processes Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field Strong verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively Familiarity with financial regulations and standards Ability to maintain detail oriented and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing detail oriented publications, and participating in detail oriented societies.
