Description We are working with a client in the Construction Industry seeking a Bookkeeper to join the team on contract-to-hire basis. The construction company is family owned and has been in business almost 30 years. The Bookkeeper will join a small office team and be responsible for AP, AR, billing, journal entries, and bank recs. A full list of job responsibilities is listed below.Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable (A/R):
Generate and send invoices to clients.
Record customer payments and manage collections.
Handle releases (conditional & unconditional) as needed.
Accounts Payable (A/P):
Verify, record, and process bills accurately and in a timely manner.
Reconcile credit card bills and manage payments.
Miscellaneous Accounting:
Perform bank deposits and reconcile bank statements.
Record payroll journal entries.
Assist with other accounting tasks as needed.
Enroll, track, and audit Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIPs).
Update and distribute customer price sheets annually.
Prepare monthly Workers Comp Reports and calculate premiums.
Work with external auditors during annual audits.

Proficiency in accounting software, specifically QuickBooks.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role; Construction industry experience preferred.
Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize duties effectively.
Excellent communication skills and proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Adobe.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
Excellent 10-key typing skills for accurate data entry.
