Seeking regional biological professionals in the Ridgecrest, Inyokern, China Lake Acres and Indian Wells Areas to serve in capacity of temporary intermittent staff to support on-call contracting in the utility distribution industry.
Applicants should have at least 2 years of related experience and possess a solid understanding of the natural resources of southern California (wildlife, plants, habitats, including threatened and endangered species). Applicants must possess an undergraduate degree in biology (MA/MS preferred) or a related professional subject. We are particularly interested in botanists and wildlife biologists with direct experience with southern California special-status species. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills are a must. Experience with CEQA/NEPA and project management preferred. Other requirements include having an acceptable driving record, being physically capable of hiking and the rigors of fieldwork, an ability to work independently, and good interpersonal communication skills.
Additional experience wanted in Jurisdictional boundary delineation, Wetland functional evaluations and mapping, Wetland creation and/or enhancement, or Groundwater monitoring and Watershed planning.
