We are a trucking company currently looking for a Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant to join our company. This individual will work directly with the Operations Manager.
The responsibilities of Bookkeeper/Accounting assistant include, but not limited to:
- Enter and balance accounts receivable and payable on a daily basis
- Make collection calls on a daily basis
- Assist with other accounting projects in the office
- Track deposits made to bank and handle deposit to the bank
- Assemble financial data for audits if needed
- Monitor credit card charges, payment discrepancies, refunds, returns and other miscellaneous
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including monitoring credit card charges, payment discrepancies, refunds, and verifying, posting and recording accounts to payable data
- Manage general office duties/needs
Requirements:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping
- Proficiency in English and in MS office and QuickBooks
- Excellent communication and administration skills
- Proficient in multi-tasking and handling stressful situations
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
