Journeyman General Machinist

Immediate Opening for Experienced General Machinist, minimum 5 years. Beginners and Trainees need not apply. Must be proficient with manual lathes of all sizes, vertical mills, horizontal boring mills, and VTL’s. Hold tolerances to +/- .0005, read and understand blueprints. Must be able to do your own setup on lathe (3 and 4 jaw chucks) and milling machine. Operations include, turning, boring, and threading, using inserts or HSS. Setup and use of index head or coordinates for bolt patterns. Machine keyways on mill. Setup and machine internal keyways with broach, key seater, or shaper. Welding is also helpful but not necessary. Only experienced machinist need apply. Pay is DOE up to 39.00 per hr. Plus many other benefits, including paid vacation, holidays, and health insurance.
