Klein DeNatale Goldner’s employment defense practice group seeks a candidate with extensive knowledge in all aspects of employment law, including wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wage and hour individual and class action claims. Additional years of experience and experience with class action litigation is highly preferred.

What You'll Bring:

3+ years employment law experience.

An exceptional ability to understand and analyze complex legal issues, particularly in class action litigation, including case merits, class certifications standards, and damages assessment.

Comfort with drafting key legal documents, such as answers to class action and PAGA complaints, declarations, case management statements for complex cases, stipulations and proposed orders, requests for judicial notice and other documents in support of motions and oppositions, formal and informal discovery responses, and settlement agreements.

Comfort with organizing documents and coordinating document productions, including bates-stamping, redaction, duplication and indexing of documents.

An aptitude for reviewing and summarizing legal documents, contracts, financial records, and employment agreements to extract key information for cases.

An aptitude for managing client documents and maintaining organized case files, ensuring compliance with court requirements and deadlines specific to class action cases and single-plaintiff employment cases.

Ability to use Excel and other software tools to perform analysis related to a number of employment-specific projects, including compiling data and preparing calculations for wage and hour audits and litigation-related exposure or damage models.

Communication skills to effectively engage with clients by video conference, email, and phone to gather information, provide updates, and address inquiries related to employment law cases.

Comfort researching employment laws, regulations, and caselaw in Westlaw.

Proficiency with essential software, including Excel for data analytics, Word for document preparation, Outlook for client communication, Adobe Acrobat for document organization and production, and Westlaw for legal research and case law analysis.

A California paralegal certificate or paralegal certification along with a bachelor's degree, emphasizing coursework or experience related to employment law, class action law, and litigation.

Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish is a plus.

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks:

The anticipated base salary range for this full-time role is $60,000 to $110,000 per year, with the final offer dependent on factors such as experience, job-related skills, qualifications, and location.
