Certified Forklift Operator

We are currently seeking a skilled Certified Forklift Operator for a Well-Known Agricultural Company in Arvin, CA! Forklift Driver will be accountable to meeting daily tasks, while also meeting quality, accuracy, and safety objectives. The Cold Storage Forklift Driver will work closely with the Cold Storage leadership. In this role, the Forklift Driver will also be working with the Load-in Team and Wash-line to meet daily goals.

Temp to Hire

Pay Rate: $17.50/HR

Shift: 3pm-11pm & 11pm-7am (rotating days off)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Off load and transport product bins from receiving line to pre-coolers

Moving product bins (up to 3 bins at a time) from Pre-coolers to Coolers and but not limited to moving from Cooler to Cooler

Accurately follow bin movement schedule

report issues to Lead/ scheduler/ management

Report any bins that are out of place, sprouting, leaking to lead/ scheduler/ management.

Report any rows that are not properly stacked to lead/ scheduler/ management.

Accurately scanning lot tags with RF Gun

Loading and unloading product from trucks

Moving goods packed on pallets or totes

following inventory control instructions (FIFO)

Stage bins for Wash-line work orders

Performing daily equipment checks such as exchanging propane tanks

Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards

Problem Solving Support for Management - Help management team develop problem solving solutions to promote higher production levels while maintaining first in class quality and safety. Alert management immediately of any anticipated shortfalls before they happen.

Regularly sitting in a powered industrial truck

Having a good sense of balance

Having good eye-hand-foot coordination

Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights

Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season

Perform other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High organization skills

Bilingual

Two years' experience with operating sit-down forklift

Experience in Food & Beverage industry
