We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Ophthalmologist to lead our practice at Golden State Eye Medical Group in wonderful Bakersfield, California!

Golden State Eye Medical Group is a part of Khaled A. Tawansy, M.D. Inc., a medical multispecialty group practice offering various types of medical specialty care, mainly focusing on optometry and ophthalmology, but also including dermatology. It is composed of 90+ employees working in 17 practice locations across central and southern California, including Bakersfield, Encino, Glendale, Glendora, Lake Isabella, Los Angeles, Lynwood, Palmdale, Pasadena, Pismo Beach, Poway (San Diego County), Riverside, San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria, Thousand Oaks, and Tulare.

Golden State Eye Medical Group is committed to providing exceptional eye care to patients in Bakersfield and the surrounding areas. We offer a full spectrum of ophthalmic services, including:

- Comprehensive Adult and Pediatric Ophthalmology

- Ocular Trauma and Uveitis

- Vitreo-Retinal Surgery

- Diabetic Retinopathy

- Modern LASIK

- DermatologySpaMed

- Plastics and Reconstruction

- Dry Eye Therapy

- Advanced Artificial Eyes

- Optical

We are looking for a qualified Ophthalmologist who:

- Has obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited medical school

- Is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO) or a comparable board

- Possesses a valid California state license to practice ophthalmology

- Is fellowship-trained (a plus)

- Has experience in providing comprehensive ophthalmic care

- Is skilled in the latest diagnostic and surgical techniques

- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Is committed to patient education and building rapport

- Has the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
