We are seeking compassionate and dedicated in-home caregivers to provide essential support for an individual requiring assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial for enhancing the clients quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to care and demonstrate their ability to meet the clients' needs. Additionally, they should also be capable of establishing meaningful relationships with the clients and their families. Flexibility is key, availability for part-time to full-time work, 35-40 hours per week is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing, as well as other Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), as specified in their care plans/ POT, such as eating, bathing, dressing, medication assistance, toileting, ambulation assistance, incontinence care, and toilet training.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Help with meal preparation tailored to clients needs and POT.
- Assist clients with mobility, and lifting when necessary.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and secure living environment for all, following established safety, infection control, and universal precautions standards.
- Report any observations and/ or changes regarding clients' health and/or behavior.
Requirements:
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Physical/TB test
- Prior caregiving experience with the disabled or in a similar field is preferred, but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
