Description We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our team in Bakersfield, California. In this role, you will be involved in monitoring financial operations, supervising finance personnel, and maintaining financial records and reports. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, providing the potential for long-term engagement.Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day financial operations of the agency, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Supervise accounting clerks and other finance personnel to ensure smooth operation of financial activities. Prepare and maintain financial records and reports, providing timely and accurate financial information. Prepare account budget revisions and allocate costs to the appropriate grants using the approved Indirect Cost Rate process. Collaborate with external CPA or consultant on various financial duties as needed. Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss reports. Maintain service and equipment purchase and maintenance records. Ensure compliance with agencies approved Indirect Cost Rate. Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable, including electronic filing. Monitor monthly grant expenditures and year-end budget, providing strategic financial insights. Maintain agency inventory in partnership with appointed personnel. Reconcile credit card statements, cash disbursements, receipts, and petty cash fund. Prepare monthly accounts receivable statements for delinquent accounts.Requirements Must hold a minimum of 3 years experience as a Financial Analyst Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services is necessary Knowledge of Crystal Reports is required Ability to use Data Mining Techniques effectively Understanding of Accounting Functions, including Accrual Accounting Experience in Auditing and Budget Processes Knowledge of Capital Management Ability to Analyze Financial Statements Experience with Annual Financial Reporting and Financial Reporting is essential.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
