Reputable Construction Management Firm with offices throughout California looking to fill a part-time, hourly Construction Administration/Project Management position for projects in the Bakersfield area.
Duties:
Solicitation and procurement of contractor and vendor services
Facilitate constructability reviews, cost estimating, value engineering
Put projects out for competitive bid
Logistics planning
Construction scheduling
Facilitate weekly or bi-weekly preconstruction update meetings
Administration of contract requirements
In capacity of District Representative, provide direction to project team
Coordinate project kick-off activities
Assist with evaluation of project logistics
Coordinate consultant teams
Coordinate with local agencies and utility companies
Provide oversight of cost, schedule and quality control during construction
Provide regular budget and schedule updates
Attend weekly, or bi-weekly, project meetings
Review Applications for Payment
Facilitate punchlist, closeout, and final acceptance of the project
Record Notice of Completion
Advise Owner on warranty issues
Assist District with evaluation and resolution of technical and performance issues that may arise during the course of the project
Assist with reports to stakeholder groups
Respond to client requests in a timely and professional manner
This position is work from home with regular site visits near Bakersfield/Taft
Requirements:
Degree in Architecture or Construction Management from accredited U.S. university (preferred)
Minimum 10 years experience working in the field during construction phase
Experience public school projects under the jurisdiction of DSA
Proficient in forma Construction Administration process
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
