Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Interventionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed professional. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, crisis management, and adherence to HIPAA regulations while fostering a supportive environment for clients.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles.
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Monitor and document client progress, including behavioral changes and responses to interventions.
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Assist clients in developing daily living skills and social interactions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including special education professionals and healthcare providers.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience or training in working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis techniques and crisis management strategies.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and vital signs monitoring.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- A background in special education or patient care is advantageous.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
