Placer County is currently recruiting for a Senior Information Technology (IT) assigned to the Department of Public Works. This position is assigned supervision of other staff, project management, business analysis, vendor contacts, software product comparison and selection, project management, and systems administration. The incumbent has a high degree of autonomy and influence into how the department operates and what technologies are selected. Connecting Placer County’s infrastructure to web and mobile services for our citizens is a key strategic initiative. This position will work with the engineering, traffic, roads, storm water and environmental divisions and will focus to advance the level of IT services available to the citizens of Placer County. The successful candidate will work directly with Department of Public Works leadership to analyze business problems, design technology solutions, and recommend product selections.
