Description Robert Half is seeking a persistent, detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team. For this position, a background in accounting, finance or business administration is preferred. This is a contract position with the potential to extend. This growing company will allow you to nourish your career as a Collections Specialist. Responsibilities
Act as liaison in maintaining quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
Log all customer payments to the correct reports
Abide by all rules and regulations established by the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act
Process bankruptcy filings in the correct manner when received
Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment
Update customer files to ensure data integrity
Control inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence
Guarantee payments are processed
Direct all billing and reporting activities in accordance to deadlines
Requirements
Ability to analyze and make decisions on customer accounts
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience
Experience using accounting software
AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred
Microsoft Excel experience
Collections experience desired
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
