Accounting Clerk

Description We are in the Service industry, based in Agoura Hills, California, offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of our financial operations. Your key responsibilities will involve handling a variety of tasks related to accounts payable and month-end closing procedures.Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports Handle accounts payable duties, ensuring all invoices are cleared in a timely manner Provide support to other team members in managing overflow work Utilize Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Excel to maintain and update financial records Monitor customer accounts regularly and take appropriate action when necessary Ensure the accuracy of financial data and customer records Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts Assist in the month-end close process Requirements Applicant must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience in a similar role within the Service industry is a necessity. Must possess excellent numerical and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics NAV is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial regulations is essential. Applicant should demonstrate good communication and organizational skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion is a must. The candidate should be able to multitask and meet strict deadlines. A keen eye for detail and accuracy is crucial for this role. Must demonstrate problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required. The candidate must be able to adapt to new software and technology related to accounting and data analysis. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Applicant must be legally eligible to work in the country of employment.
