Job Description
Character is looking for a Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst to be part of our Finance team which supports the agency through your ability to identify and use relevant financial information to measure results, driving our decisions and activities, and comply with company financial policies, so that we can enhance our client’s reputations to accomplish their goals and leverage their assets for results.Qualifications
The Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst performs and, in some cases, manages the tactical activities of multiple accounting, financial analysis, and budgeting functions. You will work with our client-service teams and clients as needed.
You Will:- Provide monthly reporting for departments, offices, and lead ad-hoc accounting analysis
- Reconcile and record monthly Intercompany Transactions
- Review and improve internal control environments related to transactional processes
- Ensure compliances with corporate accounting policies
- Complete Tax requests from Corporate’s internal tax team
- Help drive the year-end corporate audit as well as support earnout audit requests from corporate
- Assist in any financial systems integrations
- Provide insights and analytics of client and project performance and data-supported explanations of variances
- Assist in preparation of annual, quarterly and monthly budgets and forecasts providing financial analysis and suggested action
- Accounts payable function (invoice and check processing, expense report reviews, etc.)
- Accounts receivable function (client billing, invoice preparation, cash receipts application)
- Prepare monthly journal entries
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations
- Other basic accounting functions as assigned
- 5 or more years of progressive finance and accounting experience in both public and private sector.
- QuickBooks experience a must
- D365 experience helpful
- Agency experience preferred; professional services industry ideal
- Project-based business experience helpful
- Experience in strategic planning and execution
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, accurate and detail oriented
