All DOC positions are designated as Safety Sensitive Positions and are subject to random drug testing pursuant to the Secretarial Directive governing Personnel Drug Testing. Medical marijuana usage, as defined in Amendment 93 of the Arkansas Constitution, prohibits Personnel in a Safety-Sensitive Position from the use of medical marijuana even if they are qualifying patient under the amendment and/or hold a registry identification card. Department Personnel are prohibited from the use or possession of a medicinal marijuana card pursuant to this policy and state law. Position InformationClass Code: A063CGrade: GS07FLSA Status: EXEMPTSalary Range: $40,340.00 - $58,493.00SummaryThe Research & Statistics Supervisor is responsible for directing the statistical and analytical research for agency programs. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.FunctionsDirects the statistical and analytical research of various agency programs by planning and developing operating procedures and review and quality control processes. Plans, organizes, and schedules project and program procedures and develops monitoring and reporting systems to measure project effectiveness. Develops or revises agency policies, procedures, and programs based on research findings. Writes various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports explaining findings of research for various assigned projects. Oversees a small administrative support staff by interviewing, recommending for hire, training and reviewing work. Conducts special studies by researching topic, collecting and compiling statistical data. Performs other duties as assigned.DimensionsNoneKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of principles and practices of statistical research. Knowledge of compilation and analysis methods related to research and statistical data. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others. Ability to organize and conduct meetings and workshops.Minimum QualificationsThe formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, or general business, or a related field; plus two years experience in research , statistics, planning, or a related field, including one year in a leadership capacity. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management.
