Construction Estimator - up to $75,000 / year

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our Construction Division. This position supports all estimating and preconstruction efforts under the guidance of the Strategy & Planning Manager. The ideal candidate is passionate about construction, dependable, punctual, attentive to detail, and takes direction well.

Proactively identify new bid opportunities weekly and maintain the global bid schedule.

Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, equipment, and labor.

Solicit, evaluate and compile quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.

Review and interpret plans and specifications for multiple projects concurrently.

Participate in planning, pre-bid, and other construction-related meetings.

Assist in developing Construction Management Plans and communicate effectively with Division Leads and Superintendents.

Identify potential risks, errors, or ambiguities in project proposals and coordinate with owners and engineers for timely clarification.

Attend on-site job training at least twice per month.

Be available for occasional overtime, including evenings or weekends.

Travel occasionally for daytime site evaluations.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 months of construction field experience required.

Prior experience in construction estimating or an internship in estimating is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred

Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.

Ability to read and interpret engineered plans and contract specifications is essential.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision once tasks are assigned.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.

Strong planning, critical thinking, and multi-tasking skills with a keen attention to detail.

Strong communication and leadership abilities; leads by example.

Physically capable of sitting, standing, climbing stairs, walking on uneven terrain, and performing occasional physical labor
