JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aerospace Assembly Mechanic to join our growing team. The primary responsibility for this position is to assemble aircraft parts according to engineering specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate must possess strong mechanical aptitude, along with the ability to understand working knowledge of basic mechanical operations, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Essential Duties:
Individual job duties may include, but are not limited to:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to understand assembly requirements.
Assemble a variety of production aircraft parts, mechanical components and systems, using hand tools, power tools, and
measuring instruments.
Periodically inspects assembled mechanical systems to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance to ensure quality
standards are a top priority.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment as required.
Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to identify and resolve design or assembly issues.
Maintain accurate records of assembly activities, production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies,
including component inventory, parts, and supplies.
Proactively notify team lead or supervisor to ensure necessary supplies are readily available.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of Mechanical Systems
Experience with basic hand tools, hand-held power tools, and measuring instruments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly motivated and detail oriented with the ability to work independently
Ability to concentrate and multi-task
The ability to work any shift, as assigned
This is an onsite position that does not offer any opportunities for remote work
Preferred Qualifications:
Aircraft assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with Mechanical Systems
Experience with mechanical troubleshooting, disassembly and repair
Experience in reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or other related software
Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
Must be able to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and lifting of moderate to heavy weight material up to 50
lbs. with assistance of a team member or appropriate equipment
Ability to use hands and arms with full range of motion
Vision requirements to include close-proximity, distance, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus as
necessary

Raise awareness of unsafe working conditions or practices. Increase communications to all levels of management concerning safety and safe practices. Improve awareness of accident prevention. Provide continuous cooperation across all managerial and departmental boundaries, relative to safe working conditions, procedures and accident prevention.
