Description Job Description: Staff AccountantWe are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team, responsible for overseeing and maintaining optimal inventory levels. This role involves seamless collaboration with internal teams to ensure timely procurement, preparation, and tracking of inventory purchase orders. The Staff Accountant will conduct essential functions such as daily material receipt and issuance, weekly cycle counts with root cause analysis, and systematic management of inventory transactions.Responsibilities:

Efficiently monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet procurement needs promptly.

Collaborate with internal teams for coordinated procurement processes.

Prepare and track inventory purchase orders, adhering to established guidelines.

Conduct systematic receipt of all incoming material and issue of outgoing material on a daily basis.

Ensure the FIFO method is followed for inventory issuance.

Perform weekly cycle counts, analyze discrepancies, and implement necessary adjustments.

Generate daily reports on all inventory transactions.

Conduct thorough invoice review and coding for all inventory-related items.

Execute special projects and ad hoc reporting as directed by the Sr. Cost Accountant.

Requirements

Essential Functions:

Daily systematic receipt and issuance of all incoming and outgoing material.

Ensuring all inventory is issued based on the FIFO method.

Weekly cycle counts and root cause analysis for material discrepancies.

Maintaining inventory levels and issuing purchase orders as needed.

Daily reporting for inventory transactions.

Monitoring specified metrics for the supplier scorecard.

Invoice review and coding for all inventory items.

Undertaking other projects as directed by Sr. Cost Accountant.

Skills & Abilities:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Experience: 1-3 years in an inventory management role.

Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office, with strong Excel skills.
