Sr. Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the Company by providing accounting, compliance, analysis, reporting and reconciliations to support month end close. This is a hybrid role.Key Areas of ResponsibilityComplete assigned tasks as regular part of month end closing process in accordance with month end closing schedule.Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries documenting business transactions related to each month-end close.Participate in preparation of monthly financial packages, tax packages, year-end audit/annual report, and any additional reporting/analytical reviews requested by management.Maintain reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including balancing all intercompany accounts monthly.Prepare Capital Expenditure Requests for approval, track capital expenditures, maintain all fixed asset records for the company, and record monthly depreciation and amortization journal entries.Prepare and manage the Vestcom payroll and benefit related entries in coordination with Avery Dennison corporate accounting.  Complete departmental projects, including the implementation of accounting changes.Ensures compliance with internal policies, procedures and internal controls in accordance with the Sarbanes- Oxley Act 2002 Section 404.
