Description Key Responsibilities:
System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain PC hardware, software, and peripherals for onsite users.
User Support: Provide hands-on technical support, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues directly with end-users.
Software Management: Install, update, and maintain operating systems, business applications, and security patches in accordance with company policies.
Network Support: Troubleshoot and resolve basic network issues, ensuring PCs remain connected to the network and functioning optimally.
Security Measures: Implement and enforce security protocols, including antivirus updates, firewalls, and access controls, to safeguard onsite systems.
Asset Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of onsite hardware and software, ensuring compliance with licensing and organizational standards.
Performance Monitoring: Regularly inspect and optimize PC performance to prevent and address system failures proactively.
Backup and Recovery: Support onsite backup and recovery processes to protect critical data and minimize downtime during system failures.
Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team to align onsite systems with overall IT strategies and ensure a seamless user experience.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of technical procedures, configurations, and support activities for onsite systems.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a PC Administrator, Desktop Support Technician, or in a similar onsite role.
Proficiency in Windows and/or macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and enterprise applications.
Knowledge of PC hardware components, troubleshooting methods, and basic networking concepts.
Familiarity with Active Directory, group policy management, and user account administration.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to resolving technical issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with onsite staff and management.
Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft MCP) are preferred.
