Technology Design Consultant - RCDD
DataCom Design Group, a Texas based company, is currently seeking an experienced Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Consultant.
In this role you will:
Take responsibility for leading projects, executing design work, and delegating production tasks. Able to perform complete technology systems design according to code.
Meet with clients either on-site or video meetings, typically architects and end users, to assess system needs, owner standards, and project requirements. Maintain good client relations and exceptional follow-up.
Coordinate design and schedule with other in-house technology design disciplines.
Review all project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check.
Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement.
Assist in project checking for quality control on other projects.
Key Skills and abilities needed for this role:
Ability to communicate clearly in both written and oral communication to individuals and groups, often through video presentations with cameras on.
Team player with a collaboration mentality, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
A keen sense of commitment and a desire to work in a deadline-driven environment.
Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certified through BICSI is required
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans and drawings.
Skill in the use of Microsoft programs, AutoCAD, Bluebeam PDF editing, and BIM/Revit.

Job Type: Full-time (typically 40 hrs. a week)
Salary: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
Experience:
ICT Consulting: 5+ years (Preferred)
Has worked in the AE industry
Design and Client/User Consulting Experience
Knowledge of the Master Format and Construction Standards
License/Certification: RCDD
Possible Relocation Package or Remote Working under certain conditions.
