OverviewAs our Paramedic at CHI St Vincent Hot Springs, you will help our patients by providing care to our patients in our Emergency Department. You will work with our patients daily to evaluate their needs and provide physical or psychosocial care.No two days in emergency nursing are ever the same. You’re a multitasker who can react quickly as you’ll prioritize patients based on their medical necessity while you’re providing emergency triage to others. To succeed in this role, you must have genuine compassion for your patient’s well-being and understand your part in helping our patients feel at ease. Performs or assists ADLs according to the Patient Plan of Care.

Performs or assists in procedures/treatments according to Nursing Policy and Procedure Manual.

Performs Phlebotomy, IV starts, and EKG as directed by RN

Maintains a safe environment: follows OSHA requirements including Universal Precautions.

Participates as assigned in CQI activities.

Expresses appropriate communication to patients, families, and other customers.

Identifies self to others in a professional manner.

Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary for the patient/customer appropriate to neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and/or older adult.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, Metropolitan Test or equivalent

Certified Paramedic (National Registry and State License)

BLS certification required

Pay Range$18.74 - $25.77 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
