This company has room for advancement, great benefits, and competitive salary!Job DescriptionLead the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) including the maintenance and control of the plan.Translate customer and/or internal product specifications into the product monitoring system to execute the in-line product monitoring strategy.Development plant quality personnel to ensure needed skills.Co-responsibilities for improvements in Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through interaction with other technical team membersSupport external and internal audit schedule and conduct internal process layer audits.Develop the annual audit plan, train internal audit team members, monitor execution of the audit plan and thoroughness of the internal audit reporting.Ensure plant's TL-9000 compliance.Work with suppliers on new products, obtain prototypes, set-up testing/evaluationsMonitor and update plant level QMS as neededMaintain the most recent interpretations of the quality system requirements and therefore ensure that documented practices meet the true interpretation of the quality management system standardsAbility to facilitate training and kaizen events with-in 6 months of start date.After 3 months - train Supervisors on iAuditor platform to expand 5S+2 AuditsCollaborate with Engineering and Production personnel to enhance the standardization and application of good manufacturing practices for the benefit of Quality across plants.Collaborate with cross functional departmentsMake recommendations to modify customer part specifications and tolerances as necessary to support cost effective production and current technology.Provide engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques including.Coordinate with plant team (Engineering, Maintenance, Production, etc.) to resolve customer complaints and concerns following 8D methodology.Determine and apply appropriate statistical methods including Measurement System Analysis, Cpk, correlation and other tools.Evaluate customer complaints & other issues, complete root cause analysis and implement corrective actions- an engineer solution (vs administrative solution), eliminate the issue long term vs short term solutions QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Plastics, industrial/manufacturing engineering) or related field or equivalent work experienceMust have strong process and data reduction experience.Technical skills in quality control/QMS processesand methods including flow, layout, and production equipment, inspection, testing, automating, testing validation, measurement, audit, validation measurement system analysis and process controlAudit support experience, specification, and requirements documentation3-5+ years as a quality engineer or QC Tech in a manufacturing environment QMS experienceManufacturing experienceParticipate/lead continuous improvement projects, kaizen events, value stream mapping, lean Six Sigma projects, 5Y & fishbone eventsKnowledge of ISO procedures, statistical methods, and their applicationsExperience or understanding of with PFMEA, SPC, Product Specs, etc.Experience writing SOPs process and procedures, performance reports for quality & production, operations training materials, and supporting information to document existing processDesign, develop, install, and test and/or source and cost-justify various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.Minitab or equivalent data analysis softwareTooling Design, Solid Works, AutoCAD 2D, drawing tools is a huge plusERP/SAP/ODEN systems, including purchase order management is a plusScrap, COPQ, Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), On time execution of projects, for costPreferred Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt experienceProject management or Lean certification is a plusAbility to manage vendor relationships and work with suppliers on new products, obtain prototypes, set-up testing/evaluationsExperience handling and resolving customer complaints.Able to Support optimization with data analysis and physical troubleshootingWalk the plant, gather intel, and produce solutions, know what a good functioning plant looks like and help it run efficiently.
