This company has room for advancement, great benefits, and competitive salary!Job Description Lead the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) including the maintenance and control of the plan.Calibration system deploymentTranslate customer and/or internal product specifications into the product monitoring system to execute the in-line product monitoring strategy.Lead collaboration to determine (with Plant Quality Leadership) improvement plans intended to improve capability.Development plant quality personnel to ensure needed skills.Co-responsibilities for improvements in Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through interaction with other technical team membersSupport external and internal audit schedule and conduct internal process layer audits. Develop the annual audit plan, train internal audit team members, monitor execution of the audit plan and thoroughness of the internal audit reporting. Ensure plant's TL-9000 compliance.Work with suppliers on new products, obtain prototypes, set-up testing/evaluationsMonitor and update plant level QMS as neededMaintain the most recent interpretations of the quality system requirements and therefore ensure that documented practices meet the true interpretation of the quality management system standardsAfter Lean certification they should be comfortable supporting kaizen blitz/events for other associates.Ability to facilitate training and kaizen events with-in 6 months of start date.After 3 months - train Supervisors on iAuditor platform to expand 5S+2 AuditsCollaborate with Engineering and Production personnel to enhance the standardization and application of good manufacturing practices for the benefit of Quality across plants.Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Production personnel to determine critical product features and ensure design is assessed for assurance via product/process score carding and minimum Cpk of 1.00 to release.Make recommendations to modify customer part specifications and tolerances as necessary to support cost effective production and current technology.Provide engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques including:Resolve quality issues of capability, tolerance, and materials related issues.Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources.Determine when process stability and capability studies should be performed on existing processes. Train and coach plant quality leadership on proper execution of studies. Review and analyze results.Participate in or lead the qualification activities to determine appropriate use of existing and new measurement systems during new tool or process design and start up.Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.Coordinate with plant team (Engineering, Maintenance, Production, etc.) to resolve customer complaints and concerns following 8D methodology.Determine and apply appropriate statistical methods including Measurement System Analysis, Cpk, correlation and other tools.Continuous Improvement Projects. Participate in 5Y, Fishbone events, RCCA. Responsible to improve the operations thought process improvement, standardization, and training of the QC processActively engage with manufacturing floor operators, Team with EHS specialist to promote safety culture at plantDevelop and implement Best Practices. Write processes and procedures, Write performance reports for quality, Document changes to QMS documentationRecommend and implement enhancements to the quality system that result in improved quality performance, increased customer satisfaction, and/or simplification of processes to reduce costs.Support local and regional engineering efforts and Support Corporate Quality Team efforts to continuously improvement our registered Quality Management System.Evaluate customer complaints & other issues, complete root cause analysis and implement corrective actions- an engineer solution (vs administrative solution), eliminate the issue long term vs short term solutionsMaintain p2e certification tracking - Input trainee names, administer and grade tests, upload white level blitz reports into p2e SharePoint site.QualificationsTechnical skills in quality control/QMS processes and methods including flow, layout, and production equipment, inspection, testing, automating, testing validation, measurement, audit, validation measurement system analysis and process controlFamiliarity with QMS (generate procedures & work instructions)Audit support experience, specification, and requirements documentation3-5+ years as a quality engineer or QC Tech in a manufacturing environment and has deployed Quality Engineering Processes and managed QMSSomeone with manufacturing floor experience and working on controls engineeringHands on experience in driving continuous quality improvement & optimizing operations in a manufacturing environment.Participate/lead continuous improvement projects, kaizen events, value stream mapping, lean Six Sigma projects, 5Y & fishbone events-Experience inKnowledge of ISO procedures, statistical methods and their applicationsExperience or understanding of with PFMEA, SPC, Product Specs, etc.Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Plastics, industrial/manufacturing engineering, ) or related field or equivalent work experienceMust be technology savvy, can automate and digitalize projects and standard work (Automate workflow, sensor techniques, data capture, PLC, real time automated workflow system).Proficient with Microsoft office (strong Excel skills) (Outlook)ERP/SAP/ODEN systems, including purchase order management is a plusExperience writing SOPs process and procedures, performance reports for quality & production, operations training materials, and supporting information to document existing processDesign, develop, install, and test and/or source and cost-justify various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.Minitab or equivalent data analysis softwareTooling Design, Solid Works, AutoCAD 2D, drawing tools is a huge plusMust have strong process and data reduction experience. Scrap, COPQ, Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), On time execution of projects, for cost nh3+ years' experience with Data management, data integrity and process auditing.Manage annual ISO document reviewFormal training and previous experience as an Internal Auditor.Able to manage and create various projects, work instructions and other process documents.Must be able to gather/compile information from various sources, and create reports, SOP, track progress, create checklists for audit purposes/accountabilityBudget management, business acumen Lead RCCA processEstablish layered process audit cadence and procedureManage, standardize, create, edit, and maintain necessary documentation, to include process documentation & training materialsQMS development and documentationPreferred Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt experience, with at least 2 projects executed.Project management or Lean certification is a plusLead and train operators in manufacturing processesAbility to manage vendor relationships and work with suppliers on new products, obtain prototypes, set-up testing/evaluationsExperience handling and resolving customer complaints.Able to work in a fast-paced environment, must be adaptable and able to embrace changeAble to Support optimization with data analysis and physical troubleshootingThinks outside the box to provide new and creative solutionsWalk the plant, gather intel, and produce solutions, know what a good functioning plant looks like and help it run efficiently.
