The Intern, Costing quantifies and analyzes key aspects of ArcBest’s business, defining and explaining criteria in support of analytical research. The position focuses on short-term projects that add value to various areas within the Costing department’s responsibility.Your contribution may include:Develop the definition of an analytical or research project, such as a review of and/or improvements to existing processes or measurements.

Interview subject matter experts inside and/or outside the company.

Identify the data requirements of an analytical or research project.

Collect the appropriate data from company databases and/or outside sources.

Determine and perform the required groupings and calculations to yield the answer to an analytical problem using an analytical tool such as Microsoft Excel.

Communicate findings to management through narrative, tables, charts and/or presentations.

Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As an Intern, Costing, you will be a member of the ArcBest Costing team in Fort Smith, AR. This is a part-time paid internship position starting in May through the summer that will average 40 hours per week. Typical hours will fall between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm during the summer months.Ready to apply?
