As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive tire services as well as diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role combines expertise in tire services with mechanical skills to address a wide range of automotive needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Tire Inspection and Service:
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, and inflation levels, recommending appropriate repairs, replacements, or maintenance.
- Mount, balance, and install tires on rims using proper equipment and techniques.
- Perform tire repairs, such as patching punctures and fixing leaks, to restore tire integrity.
2. Mechanical Diagnosis and Repair:
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, suspension, braking, and steering systems to ensure vehicle functionality.
- Replace worn or damaged parts and components with quality replacements to maintain vehicle reliability.
3. Routine Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and tire rotations, according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Follow service schedules to ensure timely and accurate completion of maintenance procedures.
4. Customer Service and Communication:
- Interact with customers professionally, assessing their tire and automotive needs, and providing knowledgeable recommendations.
- Explain repair recommendations, costs, and timelines clearly to customers, ensuring transparency and satisfaction.
