In addition, you'll be collaborating with multiple business, tech, and product teams to ensure success, reduce losses, and build a sustainable fraud prevention program.We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Analytics Manager to join our team. The Risk Analytics Manager will be responsible for leveraging their analytical expertise and risk domain knowledge to drive cross-functional initiatives. They will be responsible for data mining, executing queries in SQL, and providing risk exposure insights. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in risk management, possess excellent analytical and communication skills, and be able to work effectively across multiple time zones.You'll make an impact byStrategy Planning:
This role will leverage strong data extraction skills to develop reporting deliverables, create ad hoc analyses, provide insights used to help business planning, and implement ideas for process improvement.
Address ambiguous strategic questions facing the business and collaborate with leaders, to plan and implement solutions.
Come up with novel solutions to recurring fraud trends to hamper fraudsters' ability to adapt.
Special Projects and In-depth Analysis:
Act as the primary point of contact for Fraud Rules team, offering insights into metric movements and trends and providing data-driven insights.
Support decision-making by developing analytic capabilities, use them to analyze trends and identify root causes, and implement rule changes to fix them.
Lead and conduct ad hoc analyses, ranging from analyzing new patterns to identifying the root causes of fraud trends.
Work independently as the go-to person for day-to-day analytical needs.
Identify and implement efficiency improvements for fraud rules processes.
Subject Matter Expertise:
Act as a subject matter expert on technical questions around fraud trends, the fraud prevention rulesets, and the calculation of fraud metrics.
Train analysts on fraud rules team processes and aid the team as needed.
Advise cross-functional partners on fraud risks of upcoming process changes.
Review and approve changes to the fraud rules.
You will bring
Utilize advanced analytics and risk domain expertise to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Execute complex queries in SQL to extract and analyze data for risk assessment purposes.
Perform data mining to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of concern.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Tech, and Business, to drive initiatives and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Provide risk exposure insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
React quickly to urgent requests and work with shorter deadlines to address risk-related queries and concerns.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends related to risk management
You'll sweep us off our feet if
You have 5-6 years of experience in risk analytics or a related role.
Strong knowledge of ecommerce Risk and fraud Management Principles and practices.
Proficiency in executing queries using SQL.
Experience with Data Mining and analysis techniques.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Flexibility to work across multiple time zones and meet urgent deadlines.
E-commerce background is preferred.
