DESCRIPTIONAs a Director of Client Development for the Headquarters team with Acosta Group, you will play a pivotal role in helping our clients sell their merchandise at Walmart. You will assist the client with their go to market strategy that will be unique to Walmart. In this role you will provide leadership, counsel, and appropriate insights to help create the story of why the merchandise aligns with Walmart’s strategy.The Director will work cross functionally with Acosta Groups business intelligence group, E-Commerce group as well as Acosta’s retail execution business to bring all Acosta Group’s assets to bear. Communicate directly with the principles of the Clients organization as well as directly with Walmart’s buying team to set up meetings and presentations. Partner with cross functional teams at Acosta that specialize in item set-up, replenishment, and supply chain .Ideal candidate will reside in the Bentonville, Rogers, Fayetteville, AR area and be comfortable working a Hybrid Scheduled of at least 3 days in office.RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the creation and execution of Client(s) strategic plan for success at Walmart. This will include, new item introductions, expansion in distribution of existing items.

Manage key client business at Walmart and Sam’s Club

Organize client/customer meetings to discuss strategies for their brands.

Build compelling sales stories and presentations to support strategies.

Deliver target budget plan and new distribution goals for client and customer.

Identify new opportunities for growth; develop and implement sales plans to achieve.

Maintain clear understanding of objectives and liaise with leadership to develop operational plans to manage execution and measure results.

Manage cross-functional communication between self, analytics, and supply chain teams to best understand all aspect of client businesses.

Monitor and report on sales performance analytics

Optimizes business performance to achieve company goals (including - sales, profit, new item listings)

Must work with and motivate a multi-functional team covering all aspects of Walmart’s business (Omni sales, Supply Chain, Replenishment, etc.)

Develops strategic business partnerships across multiple Walmart departments.

Guides others in understanding and acting upon Customer, Consumer and Industry insights.

Creates and delivers creative customer presentations to achieve incremental opportunities.

Seeks, creates and develops new business opportunities to build brand consumption.

Develops and executes effective account specific marketing programs.

Demonstrates detailed forecasting skills and accuracy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong communication and presentation skills

Owner / entrepreneurial mindset

Ability to manage 1-5 employees

Appropriate people skills and emotional intelligence

4-year college degree or experience equivalent

10+ years related Sales experience. (CPG experience a plus)

5+ years making the direct call on Walmart/Sam’s Club

Travel may be required.

Strong knowledge of sales function processes and cross-functional exposure to other Business Operations.

Knowledge of Consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry.

Strong knowledge of Syndicated Data and Customer Manager Process, as well as Microsoft Office and Retail Link.
