DescriptionBusiness Development Director-ImportsPurpose and Scope: JBS Imports is seeking an experienced sales professional to lead Business Development activities in the processor and manufacturing sales channel. The position will focus on targeting manufacturing and further processing companies in the USA marketplace for imported meat from JBS facilities worldwide. The ideal candidate for this position is currently or has been in a Senior Sales or Business Development position within a protein sales environment with a strong track record of building new business.Responsibilities:

Identify scope and target new customers within the channel to build new business and programs.

Directly influence of P&L performance and achievement of Business Unit KPIS, targets and goals.

Provide solutions to link supply chain competencies to the needs of multiple entities within the channel.

Collaborate with Business Unit procurement and sales managers and marketing team to tailor offerings to specific targeted customers.

Identify where JBS valued added resources and facilities can assist in supporting new business projects in the channel for customer products

Utilize existing or employ as needed new resources (contractors, brokers, consultants) to achieve sales and new business goals.

Work with administrative functions (accounting, logistics) to ensure customer satisfaction.

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, supply chain or marketing preferred or suitable experience in lieu of degree preferred.

10 + years’ experience in sales and business development within the foodservice channel at a senior or director level strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of the USA protein market

Strong meat knowledge across multiple proteins: beef, pork, lamb and veal.

Sales and forecasting expereince within the industry

Willing and able to travel 45% of the time to various JBS locations, customers and other locations

Knowledge of the channel and relationships to create immediate opportunities for the business unit across our portfolio of protein offerings.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills

Adaptable to change and willingness to pivot quickly

Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;

401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;

Base salary range of $150,000-$180,000;

Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
