Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned journeyman/foreman with a minimum of 5 years experience and mastery knowledge of piping and wet side HVAC applications. This role requires an individual who can work unsupervised, repair and replace piping systems, pipe supports and equipment for heating/cooling commercial and industrial applications, and perform equipment startups and check outs. The successful candidate will be responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining HVAC piping systems. They will also be expected to document work by completing paperwork and backup documentation. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, frequent bending and lifting, standing and walking over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, and safely climb ladders.
- Layout, assemble, install, and repair plumbing systems. Systems consist of pipes, fittings, piping systems, fixtures and equipment for heating, cooling, gas, steam, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial processing systems.
- Set up equipment and welding parts using arc, submerged arc, gas-shielded arc, mig and tig.
- cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and fittings
Must have experience brazing and soldering copper
Work Environment
The work environment involves new construction with 50% of the work being indoors and 50% outdoors. Sites include schools and manufacturing buildings.
pay
30-36/hr depending on experience
