Ranch Hand – Direct Hire – Santa Cruz County
Salary - $47,840
M-Thursday – 8-5 p.m. flexible
Job Summary:
Ranch hand will assist the owner of a 40-acre ranch. You will be responsible for the horses and the upkeep of a small vineyard. Throughout your workday, you might perform several important responsibilities, including:
Cleaning stalls, pens and other ranch buildings and facilities
Examining animals for illnesses, injuries or other ailments
Driving trucks and tractors to transport goods and distribute feed and seeds
Inspecting and maintaining ranching equipment and vehicles
Performing landscape maintenance, such as mowing, weed control and trimming, clipping, applying fungicides and pesticides on grapevines.
Have a knowledge of basic equipment maintenance, and experience using a variety of pools. A knowledge of construction would be a large plus.
Must be a self-starter and love taking care of horses and a ranch
Must be dependable
