Caregiver needed for overnight shift (7:30 PM – 9 AM)
Client is a 58-year-old male quadriplegic approximately 6’ 2”, 200 pounds. Sliding boards are used to assist in transfers. Employment is in Green Valley, approximately 20 minutes south of Tucson.
I am looking for someone interested in a long-term assignment. Schedule is flexible. I have one person that assists me currently and I am looking for an additional person to work two or three nights a week. (Typically, Friday and Saturday)
I have a separate sleeping area for the caregiver. In a typical shift, there is approximately 6 hours of work, mainly in the morning and evening, and the caregiver is free to sleep the rest of the time.
Paid twice a month. I take out Medicare and Social Security. Employee will receive a W-2 at the end of the year. The pay is $150 per day.
Evening routine consists of:
- assist client with exercise
- put client to bed
- takes approximately 2 ½ hours
Client is turned in the middle of the night to keep skin healthy
- every other evening a bowel program is performed
Morning routine consists of:
- general care of showering, dressing, and preparing client for the day
- takes approximately 2 ½ hours
Attendants must be dependable, non-smoker, and have reliable transportation.
