SOUS CHEF
We are seeking skilled Sous Chefs to work at Time Market under the support and direction of our Chef producing beautiful foods from excellent quality ingredients. Our restaurant includes an in-house bakery creating the foundation for our sandwiches and pizza. Our bar makes for exciting foods pairings; espresso and tea in the morning, 12 beers on draft and a progressive wine list for lunch and dinner. We love redefining casual counter-service dining to be sophisticated - we strive to overdeliver on execution and quality in every aspect of our offerings.
Candidates must have strong leadership skills, experience in high volume kitchens, be respectful, controlled, communicative, organized and detailed oriented. The Sous Chef must maintain very high standards, drive their team to work together efficiently and effectively, and have the desire to produce a beautiful guest experience. We expect each member of our team to contribute with kindness and integrity.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-A minimum of 3 years working in a kitchen
-Commitment to growing in knowledge and a genuine love for the food business
-Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
-Ability to take direction and be productive with feedback
-Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
-Must have problem solving abilities, self-motivated, organized in approach at each station
-Excellent communication skills and basic computer and iPhone literacy/competency
-Must have open availability and ability to work weekends and holidays
