Job Summary:
The Interpretive Training Specialist will work with all departments on property to ensure employees are conveying accurate, appropriate and consistent interpretive themes to guests. Develop new, park approved, interpretive programs and messages to enhance the guests’ knowledge of the park and provide requested support to departments that provide direct interpretive tours to guests.
The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $18.70 per hour
Housing: Eligible for a private room in a shared apartment for $267 per month
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Qualifications:
Passion and demonstrated knowledge in the park resource and interpretive themes, including topics such as the park’s history, geology, flora and fauna.
Experience in creating training calendars, visual aids, teaching aids and class outlines, utilizing print, audio visual media, and electronic/virtual learning methods.
Willingness and ability to research park resources and interpret information and compile it into a comprehensive and cohesive training program using basic instructional design principles.
Strong and effective communication skills.
Ability to maintain professional relationships while building a positive working rapport with department trainers, managers, and supervisors.
