As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team and contribute to our dough production and food preparation processes.
Position Overview:
We're in need of a dough-whisperer and food prep extraordinaire to join our crew. As our Dough Production and Food Prep Associate, you'll learn the ins and outs of what it takes to make a REAL bagel.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare dough for bagels according to established recipes and procedures
- Operate dough mixing equipment and bagel forming machine.
- Ensure proper consistency and quality.
- Perform food preparation tasks such as slicing, dicing, and measuring ingredients
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment. (Serv-Safe certification is a big plus!)
- Communicate effectively with co-workers.
- Assist with general kitchen duties as needed, including dishwashing and cleaning
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a bakery or food production setting is preferred, but not required
- Ability to lift and carry heavy bags of flour and other ingredients (job is physically demanding)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measuring ingredients
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures
- Availability to work early mornings and weekends as needed
