Job DescriptionVCA Valley Animal Hospital & Emergency Center is seeking experienced a Credentialed Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to support one of our DVMs whose practice is focused primarily on advanced dentistry and maxillofacial surgery.The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.In addition to standard technical skills, the Dental Department values:
A genuine interest and excitement in the area of Veterinary Dentistry & Surgery
Knowledge and competence in the area of Anesthesia induction, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery
Competency performing dental prophylaxis & full mouth dental radiographs
Assisting with root canals, dental implants, various jaw surgeries, complex oral mass removals, and a variety of other surgeries
Excellent attention to detail, computer skills, and record keeping.
