Tax Preparer - PT

Description Our client, a local CPA office, is in need for a Part-Time Tax Preparer to help our client during the 2024 Tax Season! This is a great opportunity to help a great organization, and have a chance to work closely with CPA in tax reviews. The role will be 20-30 hours per week, no weekends or over-time, and will be focused in preparing Individual Tax Returns. The selected candidate will primarily utilize Drake software to handle individual tax preparations. Responsibilities: Utilize Drake Tax Software to accurately prepare individual tax returns Conduct comprehensive interviews with clients to collect essential tax information and documents Provide top-notch customer service by answering client inquiries, clarifying tax laws, and suggesting tax-saving strategies Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in all tax preparation processes Stay current with tax laws and regulations to guarantee accuracy in tax preparation Optimize clients' refunds or minimize their tax liabilities by preparing accurate tax returns Execute data entry tasks and other accounting functions as needed Maintain a thorough understanding of deductible matters in tax preparation Use CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax in relevant tasks.Requirements Minimum of 2 years' experience in a tax preparer role or similar Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax Experience with Drake Tax Software is a plus Strong knowledge of accounting functions Accuracy and speed in data entry tasks Understanding of tax deductions and how to calculate them Must have previously held a tax preparer role Proven experience in tax preparation is required Experience in preparing individual tax returns is crucialRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
