Senior Legal CounselCORE VALUES STATEMENT Turner Staffing Group is partnered with a dynamic, fast-growing, global mining company with a base of operations in Canada, Peru, and the United States, that is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support the Copper World and Mason Projects. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, US Business Unit, the Senior Legal Counsel will have significant interaction with US Business Unit senior management, professional staff, vendors, and contractors.This role will be located at the regional head office in Tucson, Arizona, and will be required to travel locally as well as internationally, to other business units and the Toronto Corporate office.ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Manage all legal issues related to the US Business Unit and the Copper World and Mason projects.

Draft, review, and negotiate various types of commercial and real property agreements.

Effectively manage litigation related to the US Business Unit, including the selection of external counsel for each matter, and providing strategic oversight.

Support permitting efforts by advising on legal standards and administrative procedures, including management of administrative appeals.

Assemble strategies for pursuing specific legislative and regulatory outcomes, including management of outside teams of lawyers, consultants, and lobbyists.

Monitor the effect of proposed changes to laws and regulations and their impact on the ABU and its operations.

Provide legal support for acquisitions, leases, property tax review, mining claim staking, and maintenance.

Support other US Business Unit departments by providing legal advice and procuring outside expertise when required.

Ensure effective corporate governance through the implementation of company policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and permitting obligations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:

Education: Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school; undergraduate degree in geology, engineering, or applied sciences preferred but not required.

License: License to practice law in at least one state in the U.S.; preferably admitted to the Arizona bar or willing to obtain Arizona license.

Operational Experience: Five (5) years of experience with legal project operations and management within a company or law firm.

Legal Experience: Substantive experience in the areas of corporate law, environmental law, public lands, administrative law, real estate, construction law, and/or commercial litigation.

Excellent communication skills.

Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to influence and drive change across diverse stakeholders.
