Description Our client, in the manufacturing industry is in need for a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis! The role offers flexible hours, hybrid in Tucson, 20-25 hours per week, and as trust is built, after 3 months of training, will go remote. The candidate must live in Tucson, AZ. This individual needs to devote at least two days a week to in-office work, while the remaining tasks can be executed based on their own schedule. This role directly reports to the CEO and holds primary responsibility for managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, assisting in the monthly close process, preparing financial statements, maintaining the integrity of our internal controls and accounting records. This is a one-person accounting team, and must be dependable and reliable to get everything done. Job Responsibilities:

Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Handle Government Contract Accounting Systems.

Manage general ledger and conduct regular reporting.

Make monthly journal entries and execute monthly closing.

Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Support the CEO with detailed cash flow management.

Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts.

Collaborate with external CPA for Annual Tax Preparation.

Develop and implement procedures for business process simplification and standardization.

Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in full charge bookkeeping/accounting.

Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office, with proven expertise in Excel and other financial software.

Excellent analytic, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly and professionally.

Strong critical thinking skills, the ability to work independently, and effective time management skills.

Must be trustworthy and reliable.
