Position: ControllerDepartment: Finance DepartmentLocation: 2207 E Elvira Rd., Tucson, AZ 85756SummaryGlaz-Tech Industries is seeking an experienced controller to oversee this high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have experience as an accountant in our industry, preferably in a senior role. Handling high-level accounting, managerial accounting and overseeing the financial activities of the company alongside the CFO. The controller will also produce thorough financial-status reports for senior managers to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.Responsibilities
Maintains daily accounting and general ledger activity including, but not limited to, bank reconciliations, journal entries, financial schedules, billings.
Ensures strong business processes, administration, and financial management.
Assists in Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.
Monitors financial details to ensure legal compliance.
Reviews and processes payments to/from the company.
Maintains an accurate filing and record keeping system for all financial statements and company documents.
Participates in the execution of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the business.
Overseeing and reviewing work done by the finance team.
Liaising with external auditors and tax agents.
Looking into strengthening current internal controls and process improvement.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Ten or more years of professional accounting experience
Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
Exemplary history of financial project management
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field
Five or more years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager
Professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant) or CA (chartered accountant)
