job detailsjob summary:An Automation Validation Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Tucson, AZ area. The Automation Validation Engineer tests and troubleshoots autonomy systems for haul trucks, focusing on quality, data analysis, and system integration.location: Tucson, Arizonajob type: Contractsalary: $42.14 - 59.00 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:
Perform onboard system validation that integrates with current machine systems.
Focus on autonomy sub-system areas such as Planning, Perception, and Positioning technologies.
Develop, update, and execute test and development plans for autonomous haul truck testing.
Conduct advanced data and systems analysis to resolve complex issues from test or customer sites.
Communicate technical status updates, test plan reviews, and collaborate with autonomy validation engineers, support teams, and product support.
Collaborate through in-person or virtual meetings, emails, instant messaging, and face-to-face communication.
Write comprehensive test reports and provide improvement recommendations.
Skills:
Proficiency with Windows operating systems.
Experience troubleshooting complex systems.
Clear communication of technical information.
Ability to work independently.

Effective time management.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience in testing or development of control systems, vehicles, engines, or autonomy technologies.qualifications:
