Small Tucson Tech Company seeks a Mechanical Designer/Engineer with strong project managements skills.
Skills and personality:
CAD expert (Solid Works, Fusion 360, etc)
Understands fabrication processes related to design: machining, laser/water jetting, welding, finishing, 3D printing.
Designs products.
Specifies components.
Purchases components.
Interacts with vendors including machining and fabrication shops.
Manages projects, products, inventory, schedules.
Makes assembly guides for technicians.
Works with hand tools and power tools.
Fast paced work environment with new products and projects all the time.
Must be self-driven with high initiative and a can-do attitude.
Takes responsibility for and ownership of projects and completes tasks.
High creativity and strong problem-solving skills.
Enjoys doing new things.
Bonus skills (not required):
Fabrication skills - light machining, assembly, wiring, soldering.
Benchtop CNC router operation for small parts and panels.
3D printing.
