Watch/Clock Technician
Well Established NW Tucson Clock & Watch Repair Business is seeking a Watch/Clock Technician. This position is to assist customers with watch battery and wristband replacement plus identifying other repair issues that may require further Watchmaker expertise. The position also involves installing Battery Operated Quartz Clock Movements for customer clocks. In addition to technical skills, exceptional and friendly Customer Service skills are essential in this high volume, family owned, big Small Business that can be very fast paced!
Skills and Qualifications:
Good correctible vision with the aid of prescription/reading glasses, loupe, magnifier, goggles, etc…down to 0.3mm!
Hand-Eye coordination for use of jeweler’s or watchmaker’s tool like small screwdrivers, picks, knives, razor-blades, punches, etc.
Qualifying experience could include working as an Assistant Jeweler/Watchmaker/Clockmaker, Dental Appliance Technician, Circuit Board Assembly/Repair, Camera Repair, iPhone/Smart Phone Repair and even Hobbyist Model Building!; with ability to substantiate these experiences.
Clearly understandable written and verbal communication skills in English, with Spanish a Plus.
Documentation of Full COVID Vaccinations and Boosters required. Owners are at high risk for COVID complications so, masking is required at all times in the Shop, including Customers.
Hours can be flexible and negotiable depending on what you need for a successful work experience and what the shop needs to continue being an important and viable member of the Tucson community.

Pay depends on qualifications and experience, generally starting at $15/Hr for a 60 Day Probationary Period and hopefully, acceleration after that toward $20/Hr. Payroll is conducted weekly.
