Bookkeeper/HR Specialist

SURV-KAP LLC, a Tucson-based manufacturing firm, is hiring a Bookkeeper/Human Resources Specialist. This staff position performs all accounting and HR support tasks required to support the day-to-day operation of the business.

This is a full-time position, with significant growth potential for the right candidate. We are looking for the right individual to grow and take on additional responsibilities as we meet our 5 year growth objectives.

Your accounting responsibilities will include:

Day-to-day data entry

Receive and process customer payments

Customer invoicing, A/P and A/R

Prepare and pay weekly payables

Preparing and explaining regular management reports

Work with our tax accountant/controller to complete monthly and yearly close

Maintain and monitor financial records

Reconciling bank, credit cards and merchant accounts

Processing payroll and filing tax liability

Preparing and submitting purchase orders for tools, materials and other office and shop needs

Other office errands (including post office, bank deposits and others as required)

Maintaining organized files and records

Your HR support responsibilities will include:

Maintain and update organized personnel records

Advise management on HR policies and procedures

Conduct new hire orientation and benefit signups

Coordinate with insurance and benefits providers

You should have the following skills:

Full Bookkeeper experience and knowledge, familiar with multistate sales tax

Some experience with Avalara Avatax software would be a plus

Some exposure to inventory management and supplier relationship management

Basic understanding of good HR record-keeping

Hands-on experience with Quickbooks and the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Pleasant personality and good phone skills

Outstanding customer service mindset and outlook

We work Monday thru Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm. Must have reliable transportation and be able to reliably be at work on time and every day.
