Summary The Section Leader will lead and manage a department consisting of Operations or Technical personnel who operate the Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) in support of Palo Verde Generating Station.Minimum Requirements

4-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university plus six (6) years experience as a project manager and/or construction manager.

Project Manager PMP certification.

Ability to make cost effective project decisions and prioritize work assignments while maintaining the WRF capital budget.

Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications:

Demonstrated leadership ability.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (for Projects).

Nuclear requirement:

Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member. Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to support a refueling or short-notice outage. This includes line roles and responsibilities as necessary to execute outage activities. These are conditions of employment at PVNGS.

Major Accountabilities 1) Oversees daily operation of a functional area (Operations, Engineering, Projects) and resolves operational and/or technical issues.2) Establishes and monitors work priorities to ensure maximum utilization and allocation of staff and resources to ensure timely and effective resolution of Palo Verde issues.3) Implements and maintains effective planning and operating practices, procedures and processes to achieve established department goals and objectives. Ensures the quality of work produced by the team is at a high level and conforms to procedures, government regulations and established codes and standards.4) Builds a high performing team of employees through effective training, career planning, coaching, performance management, formal discipline and salary management.5) Monitors and controls costs to within established budgets.Export Compliance / EEO Statement This position may require access to and/or use of information subject to control under the Department of Energy's Part 810 Regulations (10 CFR Part 810), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) (15 CFR Parts 730 through 774), or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (22 CFR Chapter I, Subchapter M Part 120) (collectively, 'U.S. Export Control Laws'). Any PVGS employees may be called upon for random Fitness for Duty (FFD) testing during scheduled working hours. Employees, if off-site, must report to FFD at Palo Verde as soon as reasonably practicable, but no more than 120 minutes after being notified. Employees who are onsite when notified will have no more than 60 minutes to report after being notified.
