One of the largest, worldwide financial groups is seeking intermediate (4+ years of experience) Java Software Engineers to join their team in the Phoenix area. They are working on a massive API modernization effort to transform core banking. In this role, you will be responsible for complete ownership of your APIs and will be working as part of a team that is responsible for a multitude of different interfaces and integrations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Java and experience building APIs using REST framework. As this position is heavily focused in new product development, they are looking for individuals that have a solid engineering foundation with previous industry knowledge in transaction processing, consumer banking, or similar fields. - 4+ years of professional experience in software development
- Strong experience with core Java
- Additional experience with a second language (Python, C#, Kotlin, etc.)
- Experience building APIs under a REST framework
- Large scale and high-transaction systems experience that are mission critical
- Able to take full responsibility for a service
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with Spring Boot or Open Legacy for microservices
- Experience with event and message management systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Flink, etc.)
- Linux system internals
- Architecture and team leadership
- Strong integrations experience
- Some knowledge of financial transaction processing
