The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for being the primary contact for branch management for all general human resources questions, benefit issues, orientation, resolution of payroll discrepancies, and interpretation of human resources policies and procedures. This hands-on position is responsible for branch-level human resources administration.RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct New Employee Orientation sessions:

Application of any state required license training

Distribute and collect union cards

Ensure completion of post-employment offer forms/activity (e.g., new hire onboarding paperwork)

Instruction of Basic Pre-Assignment Lessons (AUS Core Training)

Customer-specific core standards training

Instruction of Specialized Training Lessons: Driver Training, Golf Cart Training, Firearms and Use of Force Training

Instruction of First Aid/CPR/AED and AHA Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens

Assist with the annual open enrollment process; provide first-line answer to benefit related questions or works with corporate benefits to identify answers for employees

Oversee administration of company uniform program, including sizing, issuance of uniforms, timely return of uniforms, assistance with replacements, and maintain all paper and electronic files associated with the program

Assist with the workers’ compensation claims management by issuing and obtaining claim paperwork, collecting statements, and coordinating with Corporate Human Resources on doctor’s notes and return to work programs

Manage all employee WinTeam data entry, including new hire set up and personnel data Coordinates with Payroll to ensure changes are completed properly; respond to questions as needed

Utilize online tools to provide timely responses

Process weekly reports for Corporate Human Resources

Conduct monthly Human Resources audits (First Aid, Guard Card, etc.)

Coordinate employee relations programs under the direction of Human Resources leadership

Assist with the following:

Receiving initial notices from employees and supervisors for leave of absence requests/needs and coordinates with Corporate Leave of Absence department to provide initial information and oversee flow of related paperwork

Preparing and processing documents for employees; manage “No Hours” review and dispositioning of employees with assistance from Operations

Receiving inquiries from outside vendors on unemployment claims

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess one or more of the following:

Associate’s Degree in Education, Business, Criminal Justice, Human Resources, Security Management, or related degree combined with at least one (1) year of human resources, employee onboarding, and/or classroom instructor experience

High School diploma or equivalent combined with at least two (2) years of human resources, employee onboarding, and/or classroom instructor experience

Pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing including, but not limited to, CPR/First Aid/AED Certified Instructor with a vendor utilized by Allied Universal or the client

Prior work experience in a fast-paced administrative environment

Work history must include:

Excellent organizational skills that include the ability to multi-task and prioritize work

Strong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to communicate effectively with leadership

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities

Able to focus and multi-task in a busy environment, with the ability to successfully handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner. Includes being able to effectively manage multiple interactions with diverse personalities and engage them to perform at optimum levels

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s degree or higher in Education, Business, Criminal Justice, Human Resources, Security Management, or a closely related field

Prior Human Resources experience in a service industry business

Prior security instructor or related experience in a multi-location environment

Work experience conducting applicant sourcing, interviewing job applicants, and conducting employee onboarding in an industrial manufacturing environment

Work experience with employee relations, development, and engagement as well as policy implementation and interpretation

Working knowledge of employment laws and civil rights legislation
